Louis Martin, OD
Louis Martin, OD, is a compassionate and gifted optometrist who has been serving the communities of Spartanburg, South Carolina, since 2005. At Eyes On Henry, Dr. Martin provides personalized eye care services to patients of all ages, protecting their vision and eye health.
After graduating from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Martin earned his Doctor of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He served his residency at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia, where he completed specialized training in ocular disease. He’s also a member of the American, South Carolina, and Piedmont Optometric Associations.
Dr. Martin offers comprehensive eye exams, corrective lenses, and treatments for eye disease, but also takes time to explain eye health to his patients. He believes that information empowers patients to make the best possible choices about their eye health. Dr. Martin takes time to answer questions and help patients feel comfortable and confident while under his care.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Martin is active in the Spartanburg Lions Club. He and his wife (Dr. Janell Martin) and their four children are involved in their church, Spartanburg First Baptist.

Dr. Martin graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She also completed an ocular disease residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. She has been practicing in Spartanburg since 2005. Dr. Martin is a member of the American, South Carolina, and Piedmont Optometric Associations.
Dr. Martin and her husband are active in their church, Spartanburg First Baptist. She and her husband have four young children. When free time can be found, Dr. Martin can usually be found with a good book in hand.
Janet Owings: Practice Manager
Janet joined the team in 2016
Janet is married. She has 3 sons and 9 grandchildren
Janet loves having the opportunity to help out with the eye care needs of the community. She loves the fact that the team treat one another like family.
If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be anywhere with sand and waves or she would love to travel to the Italian Alps.
Two things on her bucket list are traveling to Ireland and skydiving. Her hobbies include gardening, baseball/softball and making memories with her family
Spending time with her family making memories is what makes her happiest.
Two causes that are important to her are child abuse prevention and Woodruff Youth Recreation Association which she has been involved with for over 30 years.
Amber Beals : Front Desk Specialist
She has been married for over 20 years. She and her husband have 3 four-legged children. She likes working at Eyes On Henry because she feels that we are a family and that no one person is any more important than another. She loves to ride motorcycles with her husband. If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be back in Virginia with her mom. On her bucket list is going to Queensland, Australia to visit Australia Zoo.
She would also like to travel more to the United States. She likes making greeting cards, scrapbooking, and reading a good book. She has her own Etsy shop to sell her greeting cards. She is happiest when she is working in her craft room and in the summertime, working in her garden One cause that she cares about is anything that supports animals and stops cruelty to animals.
Dawn Bartlett : Optician
Has worked for the practice for over 25 years. She has two children, 6 grandsons, and 2 great-granddaughters. She likes working at Eyes On Henry because she likes what she does and enjoys working with our patients in the optical.
If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be in Memphis at Graceland.On her bucket list is going to Australia, but she hates to fly so I guess it’s going to have to be a very long boat ride.She likes to bowl. Spending time with her family is what makes her the happiest
Sherry Brauns: Optometric Technician
Has a daughter, Ava, and a dog, and two cats. She loves working at Eyes On Henry becaust she feels like the staff are like a family. Prior to joining Eyes On Henry, she worked as a surgical tech for 11 years. If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be at home spending time with her daughter who is her life and reason for living. On her bucket list is taking her daughter to Disneyland, Madagascar, and Bora Bora.
Her hobbies include reading, painting, and doing crafts, Spending time with her daughter, mom and dad is what makes her the happiest. One cause that she cares about is the Arthritis Foundation. Her daughter suffers from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Her mom and brother suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Each year they raise money and participate in an Arthritis Foundation walk in Charleston.
Sherri Hudson: Front Desk Specialist
She is married and has a wonderful daughter, Courtney.
She loves working at Eyes On Henry because the staff and doctors are the best. She feels like she has never had such a good job. If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be in Hawaii.
On her bucket list is going to Alaska and traveling to more places around the world. She likes to make crafts, spending time with her family is what makes her the happiest. One cause that she cares about are childrens’ hospitals.
Terrica Stewart: Optician and Optometric Technician
She is married to her best friend. She and her husband have a blended family of one son and two daughters. She likes working at Eyes On Henry because she feels that it is a family-oriented practice that values their patients as well as its staff. If she could be anywhere other than work, she would be in Florida strolling the beach with her family. On her bucket list is going to Bora Bora, owning her own optical, and owning her own seafood buffet restaurant.
She likes to make crafts. Spending time with her family is what makes her the happiest. One cause that she cares about is Breast Cancer Awareness. Her extended family has been greatly impacted by breast cancer. She lost an aunt, who was like a second mom to Terrica, to breast cancer. Her grandmother, aunt, and cousin are breast cancer survivors.
